Sometimes someone enters our life and something within us recognises them before we can explain why. In their presence, we feel deeply understood, accepted, and free to be entirely ourselves, as though we have found our way home to something we have always known.
Beloved explores this extraordinary experience of soul connection. Within its rich layers of red are handwritten passages from Anam Cara (The Book of Celtic Wisdom), alongside verses from the Sufi mystic and poet Rumi.
Celtic philosophy explains “Where you are understood, you are at home”. Rumi speaks of a moment of recognition when “my soul heard something from your soul,” and of two souls that are, in essence, one.
Across centuries and cultures, both authors express a profound understanding of love as something that transcends the boundaries of the individual self.
There are connections that reach places within us we did not know existed. People who make us feel seen in ways we have never experienced before, whose presence feels less like meeting someone new and more like remembering something our soul has always known.
