In this work, Gallagher places the wisdom of Seneca, the Roman Stoic philosopher, alongside a meaningful proverb from her own Irish heritage.

The proverb ‘Níos láidre le chéile’ (stronger together) is inscribed alongside Seneca’s enduring words “Si vis amari, ama” (If you wish to be loved, love).

Set against a surface that evokes the shifting terrains of the earth, the inscriptions appear like truths embedded in the land itself, grounding us in what is most essential. The pairing binds together two traditions across centuries: the communal strength of the Celtic culture and Stoic philosophy call to love as an active force.

The work offers more than an image – it is a declaration of values that transcend time and place, a reminder that unity and love are not abstract ideals but the very foundations of a life well lived.
